I am an Advertising and Communications graduate from Edith Cowan University. However, despite my lack of experience in the professional marketing realm, I have a strong foundational basis from my university work and my many years of experience in a marketing heavy industry, the beauty industry.
My beauty and customer service experience ranges from salon work to years of working directly with large beauty brands such as Estee Lauder, Clinique and L'Occitane. Additionally, during my time with them I worked with other brands such as Elizabeth Arden, Clarins, Lancome, and Sephora.
My communications and advertising work in university has a great range, too. In 2023, I travelled to Singapore to meet and learn from several prominent industry leading companies, such as Ogilvy, Octagon, Moove Media, Ultra Super New and more. The experience taught me how to approach advertising campaigns and social media marketing via a global lens, to maximise outreach to a diverse audience.
I applied many of the skills I learned on my Singapore tour to the advertising campaign "Your Future, Our Drive" my team and I created for Volvo in 2024, where I was the creative lead. The campaign was created to be submitted for the International Advertising Association's Big Idea competition. My form of content creation is to reflect a brand's identity to its fullest. I would like the style and look of the posts and videos I create to be recognisable as that brand's personality, as if it was a person or friend of the follower.
I develop my brand strategy through research-driven insights, audience analysis and expressive creative direction. In my portfolio, I demonstrate how I shape brand identity, messaging and positioning to align with business goals, strengthen recognition and create consistent, engaging experiences across digital and physical touchpoints.
Via simulations created through the marketing simulator Simbound, I've demonstrated strong abilities with keyword research, on-page optimisation and content strategy. In the simulation, I improved search visibility, drove organic traffic and aligned content with user intent, using data analysis to refine performance and support long-term digital growth.
I am familiar with the Meta Business Suite and support social media marketing through content planning, audience engagement and performance analysis. My work shows how I have developed platform-specific strategies, create consistent brand messaging and use insights to increase reach.
